Inui Bridge

Inui Bridge extends over the Iwaki River that flows through Goshogawara City. The bridge appears in the main section of Dazai’s literary work entitled Tsugaru. In this work, Dazai asks Okei, his friend’s daughter who is to be married in two days, to take him to this bridge so that he can view the Iwaki River. Since his aunt Kie, whom he adored as much as his own mother, also lived in Goshogawara, Dazai was familiar with this town even as a little child.
