Red Apple Tree Avenue

Goshogawara City is famous for its apple trees (rarely found anywhere else in the world) that bear red flowers and apples that are red inside as well as outside. These apple trees are planted along a street in the Hitotsuya district of Goshogawara City for a distance of about one kilometer. Known as Red Apple Tree Avenue, it is the longest street lined with apple trees in Japan, and becomes crowded with pedestrians when the trees are in bloom. Products made from red fruits and flowers, such as juice and jam, are available in the area.
