Kakuta Shoe Store

Exhibits available only for a shoe store are displayed in the shop window to show how foot sizes were measured in the olden days, such as an 8-mon shoe (one mon being approximately 2.4 cm), or equivalent to the length of eight old Japanese penny (mon) coins.
